~ Dedicated to H.D.G. A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada and H.G. Gauranga Sundar Das Gurudev
Being in the worldly association since birth, we fallen souls tend to believe that our only source of happiness is our material family and only they can protect us. Factually only and only, our eternal father Krishna can protect us. If Krishna wants to protect, nobody can kill and if Krishna wants to kill, nobody can protect. Therefore, Lord Krishna is the Supreme protector of all the living entities.
The miserly persons believe that they can protect their loved ones. Let's understand this with a practical example - if your material father promises to protect you under any circumstance but he himself dies in an accident after a minute, you cannot go and sue him for not fulfilling the promise. Our material relations exist till we are in this body, after the soul leaves the body it is not possible to trace who was your father or mother. Like presently we cannot tell who was our father and mother in our last life. But Krishna always accompanied us. As GSD Gurudev explains - if you ask your so called beloved people if they will accompany you if you get a pig's body in next life, they will deny it straight out but by Bhagavad-gita As It Is by H.D.G. Srila Prabhupada we get to know that Krishna is present in the heart of all living entities as Supersoul, no matter you enter an ant's body or human's, Krishna is always there. It's just a matter of you turning your face towards Him.
Srila Prabhupada explains this by an example - there are two birds, one is enjoying the fruits of the tree and one is simply watching. The enjoying bird is the individual soul and the second bird is Supersoul. The individual soul is busy enjoying the fruits of the tree because it has freedom by Krishna's mercy, but Lord Krishna is our eternal father, our friend, He is more eager for you to turn towards Him than you are. Nobody in the material world can ever love like this. Therefore we should try to understand our eternal relationship with Krishna and dedicate our this life fully unto His Lotus Feet.
Jai Srila Prabhupada!
