Bhagavad-gītā 15.7
mamaivāṁśo jīva-loke
jīva-bhūtaḥ sanātanaḥ
Translation:
“The living entities are My eternal fragmental parts.”
Key:
Aṁśa (part) ≠ Aṁśī (whole)
Sanātanaḥ = eternally a part
A part never becomes the whole
Bhagavad-gītā 2.12
(Eternal Individuality)
na tv evāhaṁ jātu nāsaṁ
na tvaṁ neme janādhipāḥ
na caiva na bhaviṣyāmaḥ
sarve vayam ataḥ param
Translation:
“Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings; nor shall any of us cease to exist in the future.”
Key:
“I”, “you”, “they” → eternal distinction
No identity-merging even after liberation
Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad 6.8
(Absolute Knock-out)
na tasya kāryaṁ karaṇaṁ ca vidyate
na tat-samaś cābhyadhikaś ca dṛśyate
Translation:
“He has no duties or instruments. No one is equal to Him or greater than Him.”
Key:
If jīva could become Kṛṣṇa, this verse becomes false
Kaṭha Upaniṣad 2.2.13
(One Supreme Among Many)
nityo nityānāṁ cetanaś cetanānām
eko bahūnāṁ yo vidadhāti kāmān
Translation:
“Among all eternal beings, there is one Supreme Eternal who maintains the many.”
Key:
ONE controller, MANY dependents
Maintained can never become the Maintainer
Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 1.2.11
(Structure of Absolute Truth)
vadanti tat tattva-vidas tattvaṁ yaj jñānam advayam
brahmeti paramātmeti bhagavān iti śabdyate
Translation:
“The Absolute Truth is realized as Brahman, Paramātmā, and Bhagavān.”
Key:
Bhagavān is supreme completeness
Jīva may realize Brahman
Jīva never becomes Bhagavān
Caitanya-caritāmṛta Madhya 20.108
(Final Verdict)
jīvera svarūpa haya — kṛṣṇera nitya-dāsa
Translation:
“The constitutional nature of the jīva is to be the eternal servant of Kṛṣṇa.”
Key:
Svarūpa = eternal identity
Servant can never become Master
Vedānta-sūtra 2.3.20
(Size Difference — Eternal)
aṇutvāc ca
Translation:
“The jīva is atomic (infinitesimal).”
Key
Jīva = aṇu
Kṛṣṇa = vibhu (infinite)
Aṇu never becomes Vibhu
Vedānta-sūtra 4.4.17
(No God-powers Even After Liberation)
jagad-vyāpāra-varjam
Translation:
“The liberated soul does not engage in the creation, maintenance, or destruction of the universe.”
Debate Key:
Liberation ≠ Godhood
Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 10.87.30
(Upaniṣads Glorify Difference)
naivātmano bhagavato ’sti bhedaḥ
jīvasya tu bheda-darśanam
Translation:
“The Supreme Lord has no difference within Himself, but the jīva is always distinct.”
Debate Key:
Difference is eternal, not illusion
Authoritative Conclusion
“The living entity can never become God — neither in conditioned life nor in liberation.”
(BG 2.12 Purport)
ONE-LINE DEBATE KILL-SHOT
An eternal part can never become the eternal whole.

Jai Amazing explanation Gurudev
Hare Krishna Dandvat Pranam
This article clearly states the difference between soul and supersoul. Such a wonderful article backed by shastras. Modern teachers teach Mayavada in the name of pure devotion without any shastric backing whatsoever. Thankyou for giving us these wonderful references and teaching us Gurudev. Jai Srila Prabhupada 🙏🏻
Such a beautiful article to defeat Mayavada philosophy "Part can never become whole" Amazing 😍
